flower

Gather ye rosebuds while ye may.
old time is still a flying.
and this same flower that smiles today.
tomorrow will be dying.

Richard Cory

Richard cory
When ever Richard cory went down town.
We people on the pavement looked at him.
He was a gentleman from sole to crown.
Clean favored. And imperially slim.

And he was always quietly arrayed.
And he was always human when he talked.
But still he fluttered pulses when he said,
"good morning" and he glittered when he walked.

And he was rich – yes .richer than a king/
And admirably schooled in every grace.
In fine we thought that he was every thing.
To make us wish that we were in his place .

So on we worked .and waited for the light
And went without the meat . and cursed the bread.
And Richard cory . one calm summer night
Went home and put a bullet through his head::::?

living

There are a number of us creep.
Into this world to eat and sleep.
And know no reason why they are born.
But merely to consume the corn.
Devour the cattle fowl and fish.
And leave behind an empty dish.
The crows and ravens do the same.
Unlucky birds of hateful name.
Then if their tombstone when they die.
Ben,t taught to flatter and to lie.
There is nothing better will be said.
Than that"they have ate up all their bread.
Drunk up their drink and gone to bed<<<<

children

Children learn what they live

If a child lives with criticism he learns to condemn.
If a child lives with hostility he learns to fight.
If a child lives with ridicule he learns to be shy.
if a child lives with shame he learns to feel guilty.
If a child lives with tolerance he learns to be patient.
If a child lives with encouragement he learns confidence.
If a child lives with praise he learns to appreciate.
If a child lives with fairness he learns justice.
If a child lives with security he learns to have faith.
if a child lives with approval he learns to like himself.
if a child lives with acceptance he learns to find love in the world..

shephered

The passionate shepherd to his love
Come live with me and be my love,
And we will all the pleasures prove.
That hills and valleys . dales and fields.
And all the craggy mountains yields.

There we will sit upon the rocks.
And see the shepherds feed their flocks
By shallow rivers to whose falls.
Melodious birds sing madrigals.

And I will make thee beds of roses
With a thousand fragrant posies.
A cap of flowers . and a kirtle,
Embroidered all with leaves of myrtle.

A gown made of the finest wool .
Which from our pretty lambs we pull.
Fair lined slippers for the cold .
With buckles of the purest gold.

A belt of straw and ivy buds .
With coral clasps and amber studs .
And if these pleasures may thee move.
Come live with me and be my love.

The shepherds swains shall dance and sing.
For thy delight each may morning
If these delights thy mind may move .
Then live with me and be my love

beloved description

She was a phantom of delight.
when first she gleamed upon my sight.
a lovely apparition sent ,
to be a moment.s ornament.
her eyes as stars of twilight fair.
like twilight.s too her dusky hair.
a dancing shape an image gay.
to haunt to startle and way lay.
I saw her upon nearer view.
a spirit . yet a woman too
a perfect woman nobly planned .
to warn to comfort and command.
and yet a spirit still and bright .
with something of angelic light...

the rich man

The rich man has his motor-car.
His country and his town estate
He smokes a fifty-cent cigar.
And jeers at fate

He frivols through the livelong day .
He knows not poverty her pinch.
His lot seems light his heart seems gay
He has a cinch

Yet though my lamp burns low and dim
Though I must slave for livelihood
Think you that I would change with him????

You bet I would

sic vita by milad

Like to the falling of a star or as the flights of eagles are.
or like the fresh spring .s gaudy hue or silver drops of morning dew
or like a wind that chafes the flood or bubbles which on water stood

Even such is man whose borrowed light
is straight called in and paid to night
the wind blows out the bubble dies
the spring entombed in autumn lies
the dew dries up the star is shot
the flight is past and man forgot....

Michael Drayton
Good folk. For gold or hire.
But help me to a cryer .
For my poor heart is run astray
After two eyes that passed this way.
O.yes O yes O.yes
If there be any man in town or country can
Bring me my heart again
I will please him for his pain
And by this mark I will you show
That only I this heart do owe.
It is a wounded heart
Where in yet sticks the dart
Every piece sore hurt through out it.
Faith and troth writ round about it.
It was a tame heart and a dear.
And never used to roam.
But having this haunt I fear
It will hardly stay at home
For God.s sake walking by the way
If you my heart do see.
Either impound it for a stray
Or send it back to me….

sea fever

Sea Fever by John Mansefield

I must go down to the seas again. To the lonely sea and the sky.
And all I ask . is a tall ship and a star to steer by.
And the wheel;s kick and the wind;s song and the white sail;s shaking
And a grey mist on the sea;s face and a grey dawn breaking.
I must go down to the seas again . for the call of the running tide.
Is a wild call and a clear call. That may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying;
And the flung spray . and the blown spume and the sea gulls crying;
I must go down to the seas again to the vagrant gypsy life;
To to the gulls way . and the whale;s way where the wind is like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow rover;
And a quite sleep and a sweet dream when the long trek is over;;;;

solitude

Ella Wheeler Wilcox

Laugh and the world laughs with you ;
Weep and you weep alone;
For the sad old earth must borrow its mirth
But has trouble enough of its own;
Sing and hills will answer;
Sigh it is lost on the air;
The echoes bound to a joyful sound ;
But shrink from voicing care;
Rejoice and men will seek you ;
Grieve and they turn and go'
They want full measure of all your pleasure
But they do not need your woe
Be glad and your friends are many'
Be sad and you lose them all;
Feast and your halls are crowded
Fast and the world goes by
Succeed and give and it helps you live
But no man can help you die
There is room in the halls of pleasure
For a long and lordly train
But one by one we must all file on
Through the narrow aisles of pain;;;

dafodills

Daffodils
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high over vales and hills
When all at once I saw a crowd
A host of golden daffodils
Beside the lake beneath the trees fluttering and dancing in the breeze

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way
They stretched in never ending line
Along the margin of a bay
Ten thousand saw I at a glance tossing their heads in sprightly dance

The waves beside them danced but they
Out did the sparkling waves in glee
A poet could not but be gay
In such a Jocund company
I gazed and gazed but little thought what wealth the show to me had brought

For oft when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood
They flash up on that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude
And then my heart with pleasure fills and dances with the daffodils

Best friends
We met. We clicked . we are cool we are one.
Two friends with one thought beneath the sun.
As it shines so brightly . there may come the rain.
To fall into our lives but best friends we,.ll remain.
Ring the phone and I will run to answer your call.
Need me for whatever I will go that is all.
For like the truest friendship that never ends
You and I for the rest of time very best friends

eagle

Who is he?
He clasps the crag with crooked hands.
Close to the sun in lonely lands.
Ringed the azure world he stands.

The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls.
He watches from his mountain walls
And like a thunderbolt he falls

Today

with every rising of the sun
think of your life as just begun
the past has cancelled and buried deep
all yesterday .there let them sleep
concern yourself with out today
grasp it .and teach it to obey
your will and plan .since time began
today has been a friend of man
you and today a soul sublime
and the great heritage of time
with God himself to bind the twain
Go fort brave heart attain attain
